Cooling System Flush

Symptoms & Conditions

Overheating problems, Frequently use vehicle for towing, Lack of regular radiator or cooling system service.

What We Do:

A skilled technician will perform the following procedure using Valvoline Professional Series Cooling System Cleaners:

  • Add and circulate Valvoline Professional Series Radiator Super Flush through the cooling system to thoroughly remove rust, scale and oily residue.
  • Attach the cooling system service equipment to your vehicle
  • Remove the old antifreeze and contaminants
  • Refill the system with the new Zerex antifreeze/coolant
  • Fortify the new antifreeze/coolant with Valvoline Professional Series Water Pump Lubricant and Protector to prevent rust and corrosion and to lubricate the water pump. Also helps prevent deposits that can cause boil-overs, clogging, and overheating.
Why Perform the Service?
  • This service will help prevent cooling system failure — the #1 cause of on-road engine related breakdowns.
  • Regular cooling system maintenance helps prevent engine boil-over in summer and engine freeze up in winter.
  • Antifreeze coolant wears out causing it to lose its protective qualities. When this happens corrosion of the cooling system begins. Rust and scale may build up interrupting the proper flow of coolant. If the cooling system is not serviced this can lead to overheating and expensive repairs.
  • Provides protection from rust and corrosion leading to longer cooling system life.
  • Conventional cooling system service removes only a small portion of the old contaminated coolant. The large amount of old coolant that remains contaminates the new fluid making the service less effective and causing new deposits to build more quickly. Our cooling system service completely replaces the old coolant — extending the life of your cooling system.

Power Steering Flush

Symptoms & Conditions

Sluggish steering, Squeals or squeaks, Chattering in the steering system

What We Do:

A skilled technician will perform the following procedure using Valvoline Professional Series Transmission Cleaners:

  • Drain the old fluid from the reservoir using power steering flush equipment.
  • Flush the power steering system with Valvoline Professional Series Power Steering Flush to remove sludge and contaminants from the system including rack and pinion, pump, and lines.
  • Add new Valvoline Professional Series Power Steering Fluid to prevent leaks and noises.
Why Perform the Service?
  • Valvoline Professional Series Power Steering Fluid helps protect against pump breakdown caused by corrosion, wear and oxidation, and prevents clogging and foaming.
  • Power steering fluid can be broken down by shear and heat. This can lead to increased wear in pumps, valves, and gears.
  • Reduced wear helps extend the life of the power steering system. The service removes old worn out fluid that can be contaminated with debris that causes the system to wear out.
  • The new fluid performs in sub-zero temperatures to optimize cold weather performance reducing squealing and hard or inconsistent turning.
  • Foaming in the system can lead to sluggish or chattery steering. The service prevents foaming of the power steering fluid.

Brake Fluid Flush

Symptoms & Conditions

Soft or spongy brake pedal, brakes not working properly, Manufacturers recommendation

What We Do:

A skilled technician will perform the following procedure using Valvoline Professional Series High Performance Brake Fluid:

  • Remove all of the existing brake fluid in the master cylinder utilizing a specialized brake fluid service system.
  • The brake fluid service system, which is connected to all four wheels at the same time, will refill the master cylinder with Valvoline Professional Series DOT 4 brake fluid and facilitate a complete flush and change of brake fluid from the entire brake system.
  • The old contaminated brake fluid is removed at each wheel through the brake bleeder until new Valvoline Professional Series High Performance Brake Fluid has completely filled the system.
Why Perform the Service?
  • Brake fluid is used to transmit pressure from the driver's foot to the wheel cylinder, where that pressure is then converted into a frictional braking force on the wheels. Frictional braking force creates heat which can get transferred to the brake fluid itself.
  • As brakes generate heat brake fluid must remain liquid, without boiling, to operate properly. Over time brake fluid can become contaminated. Contaminates, including moisture, can lead to early failure of brake components.
  • Moisture absorbed by the brake fluid also causes the brakes to feel soft, spongy, or not work properly.

Engine Cleaning Service

Symptoms & Conditions

Infrequent oil changes, High mileage, Sludge and contaminants in the engine, Reduced horsepower and performance, Clogged oil passages

What We Do:

A skilled technician will perform the following procedure using Valvoline Professional Series Engine System Cleaners:

  • Removes the old filter.
  • Attach engine oil cleaning equipment to your vehicle.
  • Circulate existing motor oil and Valvoline Professional Series Engine Cleaner through a 5 micron filter, removing sludge and contaminants from your vehicles engine.
  • Specialized cleaning equipment virtually all of the old motor oil and SynPower Engine Cleaner using pressure — removing more motor oil than gravity draining alone.
  • Install new oil filter and motor oil.
Why Perform the Service?
  • Over time your engine can develop sludge which leads to reduced horsepower and performance and shorter engine life. Valvoline's Engine Oil System Cleaning Service dissolves and removes harmful sludge from your engine.
  • Infrequent oil changes, combined with stop-and-go driving can cause sludge formation which leads to problems such as reduced oil circulation, restricted oil passages, sticky valves, lifters and piston rings. Valvoline's Engine Oil Cleaning Service helps to reduce or eliminate all of these problems.
  • Valvoline's Engine Oil System Cleaning Service uses pressure to eliminate virtually all of the old motor oil in your engine — rather than relying on gravity to drain the oil. This pressure system ensures that the fresh oil installed in your vehicle is free of the contaminates from the old, used motor oil.

Fuel Injection Flush

Symptoms & Conditions

Rough idling, Reduced fuel economy, Hesitation when accelerating, Cold start problems, Engine knocking, pinging, or run-on, Loss of performance, Failed emissions testing

What We Do:

A skilled technician will perform the following procedure using Valvoline Professional Series Fuel System Cleaners:

  • Attach cleaning tools to the fuel system
  • Instantly clean deposits from fuel injectors
  • Remove deposit build-up from intake valves
  • Clean hard to remove combustion chamber deposits
  • Remove deposits from the entire air intake system including throttle body and intake manifold
Why Perform the Service?
  • Your fuel system consists of fuel injectors, intake ports, intake valves, combustion chambers, throttle body, and the intake manifold. Deposits in any of these areas can reduce fuel economy, impair drivability, and can interfere with the proper operation of your engine. Even running premium gasoline cannot prevent this from occurring. These deposits occur as a by-product of burning gasoline and need to be removed on a regular basis.
  • Deposits building in the combustion chamber and intake valves can alter the engine's compression ratio, causing it to be hard to start, knock, and run on. These deposits can cause a vehicle to need higher octane gasoline to run properly.
  • The most common systems associated with fuel with fuel injector deposits are stalling, hesitation, and loss of power. Fuel injector deposits can interrupt the delivery of fuel and disrupt the spray pattern. These deposits can build-up on your fuel injectors in as few as 3,000 miles.
  • As deposits build in the engine, so do vehicle emissions. Not only is it bad for the environment, but it can also cause a problem in states with mandatory emissions testing. Reducing these deposits will help decrease harmful emissions.
